Clerks Associates Our training will provide the necessary skills to enable participants to fully understand the law on admission and exclusion appeals to enable to them apply the relevant law(s) and to act impartially during the whole process.Clerks Associates can provide skilled trainers and consultants to run seminars for all admission authorities, new and existing Clerks, Chairs and panel members using DfES approved training materials.

All Admission Authorities must ensure that new panel members receive appropriate training before hearing appeals. Experienced panel members must keep abreast of relevant judicial rulings and guidance and should be given the opportunity of undertaking refresher training.

Independent Clerks (for Admissions and Exclusions)
The role of the clerk is crucial. Each appeals panel must have the services of a clerk. Clerks Associates provides training for clerks. Our course covers: the role of a clerk; understanding of the Admissions/Exclusions Code of Practice; current legislation; note taking, recording the decision and all relevant information to ensure that they are fully trained and competent in their duties.
